Conservative Party spokesman goes on the record

04-May-2010

Horticulture Week, the magazine for horticulture professionals, invited  Hilary Benn for the Labour Party, Conservative Nick Herbert and the Liberal Democrat Tim Farron to answer key horticulture questions. Nick Herbert answered all the questions and Hilary Benn answered most with some contributions from the Labour team. The Liberal Democrats, however, failed to respond by the deadline. The article can be found here.

Among the answers KSS welcomes the following Q and A with Nick Herbert:

Q: Would you be prepared to revise the Sunday trading laws to allow garden centres to trade on Easter Sunday?

A: Conservatives "We have no plans to change Sunday trading laws."

KSS urges all supporters of our campaign to make a note of this important statement which may be of great relevance after the forthcoming general election.
