February 10: European Parliament, Strasbourg. German MEP Martin Kastler (EPP-CSU) has started a ‘Mum and Dad Belong to Us on Sunday’ campaign.

Germany’s Constitutional Court has ruled that Sunday should be kept a day of rest, following a complaint made by the country’s Catholic and Protestant churches, which was supported by the labour unions.

Our spokesperson Peter Lynas was interviewed on the BBC 1 Breakfast show and a variety of local BBC radio stations and other media explaining why the KSS campaign continues. A number of the programmes asked people on the streets their views and as our polling suggests, the majority want Sunday to be different and are happy with the current compromise.
