If you believe in keeping Sunday special, here are a few ways in which you can support the campaign:
ATTEMPT TO EXTEND SUNDAY TRADING FOR GARDEN CENTRES
May 12 2008
The 1994 Sunday Trading Act allows shops to be open for six hours on a Sunday. A private members Bill being introduced into the House of Lords is asking to amend the 1994 Sunday Trading Act, by changing opening hours for garden centres from six to eight hours. The Bill also seeks to allow trading on Easter Sunday.
POLL REVEALS MOST PEOPLE NOT BOTHERED BY SHOPS CLOSING ON EASTER SUNDAY
May 08 2008
A recent opinion poll by GfK NOP revealed that 88% of people did not notice, did not realise, or were not bothered at all by big shops being closed al day on Easter Sunday.
We need your help to fight this campaign. If you believe in keeping Sunday special, please consider giving your financial support to resist any further extension to Sunday trading.
