A poll of 1000 adults taken between 28th-30th March 2008 revelaed that 88% of people did not notice, did not realise, or were not bothered at all by big shops being closed al day on Easter Sunday.
1000 adults aged 16+ were interviewed on the GfK NOP Telebus during the weekend of 20th-22nd July 2007. The survey is designed to be nationally representative of adult profiles throughout the United Kingdom. Below are main key findings from the research.
More than 90% of shopworkers have rejected any extension to Sunday trading hours as the Department of Trade and Industry launches a consultation on this controversial issue.
